About Amelie
I graduated highschool with an excellence endorsement and excellent endorsements in English, Geography, Social Studies and History. I have just finished a conjoint Bachelor of Arts/ (Anthropology) Global Studies (Politics and Te Reo Māori) degree at the University of Auckland. When I am not at university or in the classroom, you can find me working on boats and as a nanny for twins. So safe to say I am used to juggling multiple responsibilities at once (which carries nicely with a conjoint degree/multiple avenues of study and learning!)
I am passionate about literacy and the arts and hope to ignite the same passion in my students!

I aim to provide lessons and a teaching style that suits a students individual needs. I understand that education and learning is not 'one size fits all' and that students learn in different ways. I hope to establish within the first meeting the way that the student prefers to learn, and adjust my teaching style accordingly. I hope that students will feel comfortable in telling me which specific points or themes they are struggling with. I am patient, and always double check that the student is on track with the topics discussed. Remember: there are no stupid questions!
