About Divine

My name is Divine Nyarko and I have always had a passion for education and helping others learn. From a young age, I found joy in explaining concepts to my classmates and friends, and I knew that teaching was the path I wanted to pursue. I believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and open doors to endless possibilities. I want to make a positive impact on the lives of students and help them reach their full potential. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed. I am committed to lifelong learning and strive to continuously improve my teaching practices to better serve my students. I believe in the importance of fostering a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to embrace challenges and learn from their mistakes. I am passionate about making learning engaging, relevant, and accessible to all students, regardless of their background or abilities. Teaching is not just a job for me, it is a calling. I am inspired by the opportunity to shape young minds, instil a love of learning, and empower students to become confident, independent thinkers. I am excited to embark on this journey as an educator and make a positive impact on the lives of my students.

About the lesson

My personal approach to teaching mathematics and science is to make the subjects engaging, relevant, and hands-on for students. I believe that students learn best when they are actively involved in their learning and can see the real-world applications of what they are studying. In my classroom, I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new concepts. I encourage a growth mindset, emphasising that it’s okay to struggle with a problem as long as they keep trying and learning from their mistakes. I also like to incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles. This may include using visual aids, hands-on experiments, group work, technology, and real-life examples to help students grasp difficult concepts. I believe in making connections between mathematics and science and showing students how they are interconnected. For example, I may use data analysis in science experiments or incorporate mathematical principles into physics problems. By showing students the relevance of these subjects in the real world, I hope to inspire them to see the value in learning mathematics and science. Overall, my goal as a teacher is to instil a love of learning in my students and help them develop the critical thinking skills needed to succeed in these subjects and beyond. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, question, and discover the wonders of mathematics and science.
