About Sarah

Hi there! I’m Sarah, an English teacher from Vancouver, Canada. Learning a new language can be tough—I know firsthand because I moved to a Spanish-speaking country and had to learn the language from the ground up. That journey has given me deep empathy and insight into the challenges of learning English as a second language.

I’ve been tutoring English for the past nine years, ever since I started university. My passion for teaching English was sparked by my frequent travels to Latin America. During my trips, I met many kind and welcoming Latin Americans who helped me improve my Spanish. I wanted to return the favor, so I began teaching them English. This experience not only solidified my love for language learning but also deepened my commitment to helping others achieve fluency in English.

Over the years, I’ve also gained significant experience teaching the TOEFL and IELTS exams. I understand the pressure and the importance of these tests for academic and professional goals, and I’m here to help you navigate them with confidence. Whether you need strategies for the reading and listening sections or want to refine your speaking and writing skills, I’ll provide the targeted practice and feedback you need to succeed.
