About Olivia
Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am a business professional, and experienced tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I hold a Master's in Marketing and have experience teaching high school students in a variety of subjects. My background includes education, public affairs, content creation, and aviation, which allows me to connect real-world experiences to the concepts I teach.
As a tutor, I believe every student learns differently. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing their skills. My style of teaching is hands-on. For example, a typical teaching session in creative or descriptive writing begins with a game, followed by 10-15 minutes of instruction time and the balance of the session is hands-on practice, real time for me to help guide you into specific areas for improvement.
Math would be the same way. I believe you learn by doing and practice.
