About Ian
I've been studying voice and performing for about 10 years with lots of teachers, giving me a wide breadth of knowledge to pool from. I started learning classical voice technique from my father, who learned from his aunt, an award-winning opera singer. I also went to a conservatory program for musical theatre and voice at a very well-respected university in the performing world, during which time I also started giving voice lessons and have been for about a year and a half.
I am very prompt about scheduling my lessons, construct in-depth lesson plans to your specific needs, I have a fairly flexible schedule, am able to adapt to whatever you may need in the moment, and can teach lessons about other related topics in the event you are unable to sing at a normal capacity.

I bring a comprehensive, holistic approach to voice training. I'm a practicing performer that is able to teach classical voice technique along with acting technique, vocal health, music analysis, audition prep, and repertoire building. I aim to foster a positive, encouraging, and fun learning environment where you can develop your skills as an artist and find your own love of the craft. I work with all ages and all levels of education, though I work especially well with adolescent and young adult performers.
