About Kate
Hi, I'm Kate, thanks for considering me for the position of being your tutor, I can't wait to get started! I am a Masters Graduate in Theoretical Physics from the University of Nottingham with a passion for teaching & deepening understanding and love for maths and the mathematical sciences. My approach to teaching is deeply personal and tailored around giving you the ability to build confidence and understanding of the subject by providing a common-sense conceptual base that naturally gives way to the entire syllabus. I believe the deep connectedness and historical-material context of maths and physics is vital for any student and replaces the hurdles present in wide-ranging modern syllabuses with stepping stones that bust exams wide open! I am here to support learning in any way you need, whether it's shoring up a particular concept or providing a ground-up explanation for a wide range of topics or methods, I will work tirelessly to get you ready to approach any problem in the subject with supreme confidence and a full tool-kit of solutions.

Engaging, multimedia lessons focused on key conceptual topics and harbouring passion for the subject which bolster understanding throughout the Physics and Maths syllabuses. Lessons Lengths: 30-60mins for basic, supplemental lesson for catch-up/cementing understanding within syllabus 60-120mins for solidifying single concepts/methods with extensive structured support and further reading/problem material 120+mins for exam paper analysis or topic spanning lessons with multiple levels of complexity including further material for extension and/or extensive background/real-world context.
