About Emory
I have taught Jazz, Orchestral, and other genres to students of all ages and have experienced success in all three. I am extremely patient and understanding, and love the excitement from my students in not only improving as an instrumentalist, but pursuing what about music ignites their passion. As a former student of 11 years and a saxophone player who has played in a multitude of groups/genres, I firmly believe that musicians of any level are at their best when they play what they are passionate about! My 14 years of experience with woodwind instruments makes me able to support students in overcoming any and all obstacles that they face on the arduous path to mastering an instrument.

Woodwind lessons for all ages and skill levels. My lesson plans typically consist of technique, tone, and listening/transcription work. I strongly believe that practicing these three elements of musicianship makes a well-rounded musician that is prepared to excel in any genre or setting. I believe patience and understanding is key, as working with students at their own pace is the quickest way to develop as a student.
