About Ruth
I am a mature professional. I enjoy working in a 1-to-1 situation and like to be creative in encouraging and inspiring students to achieve their best and test their limits. I have worked for Sky Television and trained and taught English to children whose parents worked for Sky Television and knew English as a second language. My last special needs assignments took place in New Zealand working also in a formal environment at Thorndon Primary School in Wellington in combination with supporting a group of 13 students with research support and advice at Victoria University under guidance from Senior management Lecturers.

Every Student who trains with me will undergo the following procedure. 1 Register for the local library and relevant school.2 Select each 2 weeks books they are interested in and provide questions for discussion. 3.A record and personalised journal will be kept throughout the process of reading related to family connections,identity and events related to their English as a second language.Additional resource materials will be my responsibility to ensure the student can complete tasks and also encourage to complete projects in a timely manner as well as be personally satisfied with goals and outcomes in their reading challenges.
