About Mercedes

I am a girl from Madrid with a Manchego heart...from a town in Castilla La Mancha whose name "sí quiero acordarme".
Essentially, I describe myself as a restless ass, since I was a child I have always wondered "why" things happen. Many times I have not obtained an answer or if I have been given one it has been a "because yes" with which I have not been satisfied.
I decided 4 years ago that Madrid had become too small for me and that already bordering the 4 million, I mean Madrid Madrid, you will understand when we get to the part of "how to be a good Spanish" in our trip.
Why I am here, well I have always had a good hand with the mastery, you will think why did not you get the career of that. I think because my personality for trying to know everything led me to choose to study law and politics instead of being a teacher because you have to be born as a teacher, you can't learn how to be a teacher.
By this, I mean that you must have a vocation, today both under your skin or in that of our children or nephews, that vocation has been lost in our educational system.
Furthermore, as a lover of philosophy, as I have already said, the figure of Socrates marked me and he was not a normal teacher with his teachings unlike the Sophists, Socrates taught you how to discover the virtuous in life.
During my degree, I had a private English teacher (her style was unique), and thanks to her I became reconciled with English, which is why I decided on this path. Maybe I will also make it possible for someone who finds it impossible to speak Spanish to finally achieve that dream.
With my classes, I would like to teach you Spanish, not that of the academies, but a Spanish that opens up a world of opportunities, of adventures, and with which you can fall in love with our language and use this knowledge to teach it to someone else. And once you enter our community of Spanish speakers let me tell you WELCOME TO OUR GREAT FAMILY! Because another thing no, wherever we go, if we find one of our own, we treat him as a brother.

About the lesson

My methodology is homemade. I want people to learn Spanish without stressing about tenses, and spelling and without spending a lot of money. I like to debate about things, I am a political scientist and I love philosophy, so in my classes, you won't need dense books or guides. We will make the Spanish flow by itself starting with different activities from listening to music, even knowing how to flirt with Spaniards or how to survive in our culture.
My style is not about memorizing abstract concepts or describing a picture in one minute. It is about understanding, so first we will focus on the five senses starting with the ear.
I never liked the way they taught in school, I was the worst English student ever, (not because I didn't make an effort or do all my homework, come on, I sat in the first row! ).
When I was 17 years old I was lucky enough to work as a nanny in Boston, I left without knowing any English, don't think I came back bilingual. It was three months, I'm not going to lie to you. But I did catch my ear, that's where it all started.
I waited to finish my degree to be able to travel again and I started to work as a dishwasher in Dublin, it was not easy but in the end, after a year and a half, I was able to speak correctly.
I know that it is not a short way, but I also know that with my help the way will be pleasant and by the end of it, you will be able to play broken telephone without any problems.
