About Felix
I am a recent History Graduate from the University of Manchester, where I was involved in student journalism and tutoring in both English and Debating for 3 years.
My tutoring has ranged from 1:1 to classes of 20, involving everything large group work to detailed personal feedback, helping to inspire confidence and allow any student I've tutored to get the most from the process.
During my time in education I've been an avid journalist and debater, giving me a knowledge of the nuances of both written and oral communication. This has allowed me to understand the needs of all ages of students and the formats of learning that would best suit them.

Education feels very restrictive for a lot of children. Increasingly, students are bombarded with tests and targets to meet without much time to consider what they enjoy or how they can best learn and develop themselves.
I want to put that development and natural curiosity that all children have at the forefront of their tutelage. By opening up a dialogue with my students I can better understand what they enjoy and are passionate about, be that current affairs, technology, the animal kingdom, and relate learning across a range of subjects to their discovery of these topics, and themselves.
Learning does not have to be so linear and rigid. Every child is different, and every child should have the chance to learn differently, so they can see learning not just as something done to get good grades, but as a crucial part of their life as they grow up.
