About Heather
I have been a teacher for over 20 years. I have taught all subjects to a wide variety of students and taught during the COVID years. Nothing phases me anymore. I can help students get through any issues and confusion they are having with the concepts that are hard for them. Patience and practice help make students more confident in their skills. I take the time to know my students and understand why they are having trouble with the concepts. Learning should not be rushed or forced. If it needs to be explained or practiced more than two or three times, then that is what I will do with my student. Patience is what is needed in many situations, so using different methods to explain and practice a concept is simply good teaching. I am certified to teach students in grades 1 through 8, but I can work on high school students as well.
