About Renee

My name is Renee and I am passionate about teaching Spanish and helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. I believe that learning a new language should be an enjoyable and engaging experience, where every student feels supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. My desire to teach comes from my belief that education can open doors to new opportunities. I want to help students discover the beauty of the Spanish language, appreciate Hispanic cultures and recognize the value of being able to communicate with others across different cultures and communities. As your tutor, I will strive to create a positive and professional learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to adapt my teaching approach to meet individual needs, explain concepts clearly, and provide meaningful activities that make learning practical and effective. You can expect patience, preparation, professionalism and a genuine commitment to your progress. Whether you are learning Spanish for school, examinations, travel, career opportunities or personal development, I will work with you to strengthen your understanding, improve your communication skills, and build your confidence step by step. My goal is not simply to teach you Spanish, but to help you believe in your ability to learn, grow, and succeed. You do not have to be perfect to begin and you do not have to know everything to make progress. All I ask is that you come ready to learn, participate, practise and give yourself the opportunity to improve. I look forward to being part of your learning journey. Together we will turn challenges into opportunities, mistakes into lessons, and small achievements into meaningful progress.

¡Bienvenidos! Aprendemos juntos!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, interactive, communicative, and structured around active learning. I focus on helping students understand and apply what they learn rather than simply memorizing information. In addition, I encourage individuals to take an active role in their learning by participating in discussions, completing activities, asking questions as well as discovering answers independently. I also emphasize using Spanish in meaningful, real-life situations. Rather than focusing only on vocabulary and grammar rules. Students are given opportunities to practise through dialogues, oral presentations and situational questions. Lessons are done during a 1 hour session. Lessons are catered to beginners and intermediate ranging from age 11 upwards.
