About Alana
My goal as a tutor is to help others bring out the confidence within them to express the knowledge they acquire. As a result of personal experience, I believe that positive reinforcement alongside topics of learner interest provide a productive environment for learning any subject matter. Additionally, I love to learn from others and hear different perspectives that I could use to improve my own practices.

I work with students to find learning methods that suit their written and/or speaking goals. A typical lesson plan consists of introducing a target topic, doing an activity to become familiar with the topic, then applying the knowledge to assignments or daily life.
The lessons I provide are for primary, secondary, post-secondary, and graduate level learners. The subjects covered could be solely academic such as writing and presentation, or they could be casual speech related.
