About Jackie
I want you to know that I take my role as your teacher and tutor very seriously. You should want me as your teacher because I actually care about you, not just the content. I want you to understand why things work, not just memorize answers to get through a test. My goal isn’t to “catch” you making mistakes—it’s to help you grow from them.
I’m organized and clear, so you’ll always know what’s expected, but I’m also human. I know school can be stressful, life can be messy, and some days your brain just isn’t braining. I’ll push you to do your best, but I’ll also support you when things get hard.
In my classroom, you’ll be respected. Your questions matter. Your effort matters. I believe every student is capable of improvement, no matter where you’re starting from—and I don’t give up on people.
I also try to make learning engaging and real, not just “because it’s on the test.” I want you to leave my class not only smarter, but more confident in yourself.
