About Jeffrey
I have student taught in the greater Rochester NY region, and given many brass lessons.
I’ve had great success, and through teaching I continually learn new things, and different approaches for different students.
I think it’s really important to break things down!
We will do that a lot.
Most importantly, the music is what inspires, and in lessons, we will create by improvising. The idea is that the instrument and the voice are one.

Does it ever feel like practice is overwhelming, or that it’s physically difficult or painful to play the instrument? We can absolutely overcome these things by building a solid foundation, and-ear training. Fundamentals are important. By engraining a solid foundation into the muscle memory, all energy can go into the expression. It should feel easy on brass instruments!
