About Caitlin
I am a recent graduate of Wake Forest University and am currently taking a gap year before beginning medical school at Rutgers in the fall. During this time, I’ve been working in a hospital setting, participating in clinical research, and mentoring students through a vascular surgery internship. I graduated on the Dean’s List every semester and scored within the top tenth percentile on the MCAT.
I have over three years of tutoring experience and have spent years developing an effective, adaptable learning style of my own. I care deeply about helping students build confidence, understand material at a deeper level, and develop study strategies that support long-term success.

Throughout my years of tutoring students from elementary school through college, I’ve developed a teaching style that prioritizes true understanding over memorization. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable pieces and use active learning techniques to help students apply what they learn independently. My approach is inspired by effective teaching methods I’ve experienced firsthand and refined through years of practice. I’ve spent over a year tutoring elementary school students in math and have more than three years of college-level tutoring experience in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry. My goal is not only to help students succeed in a specific class, but to give them strategies that support long-term academic confidence and success.
