About Shayla
“I want you to feel confident choosing me as your tutor.
I take this work seriously, and I treat every student with professionalism, respect, and care. I come prepared, I communicate clearly, and I’m committed to creating a learning environment that’s focused, supportive, and judgment-free.
I have a strong understanding of the material, but just as importantly, I know how to teach it—clearly, patiently, and in a way that makes sense to different learning styles. If something doesn’t click right away, that’s okay. My job is to explain it until it does.
You can expect consistency, reliability, and honest feedback from me. I don’t waste your time, and I don’t cut corners with your learning. When you work with me, you’re working with someone who is invested in your progress and your confidence, not just the outcome.

You should take classes with me because I don’t teach at you—I teach with you.
My goal isn’t just for you to pass; it’s for you to actually understand the material, feel confident using it, and leave class thinking, ‘Okay, I can do this.’
I break things down in a way that makes sense, I’m patient when questions come up (because questions mean you’re learning), and I meet you where you are—not where a syllabus pretends you should already be.
I expect effort, but I also give support. I want you to grow, not stress yourself out trying to keep up. If you show up and try, I’ll show up for you every step of the way.
