About Vsevolod
I’m 31 years old, I was born in Penza, small town in the Volga region, then I moved to Moscow, where I graduated from the high school and then from Lomonosov Moscow State University (Faculty of Philology)
Subject of my thesis was Gaito Gazdanov, famous Russian émigré writer of Ossetian descent, but also I was deeply interested in linguistics, especially phonetics and phonology, comparative linguistics and European languages, literatures, cultures
During and after my studies I often taught Russian, Latin and Old Church Slavonic, translated and edited fiction and non-fiction texts, made subtitles for TV and movies
I’m also a cinephile, who volunteered for a long time at Artdocfest, major Russian documentary film festival, now in exile
In October 2022 I moved to Yerevan, where I currently live

I use communicative approach in teaching because it leads to good results in speaking and comprehension faster than more traditional way
At first I will ask you what do you know about Russian language at the beginning of our lessons
Then, depends on your level, I’ll teach you Russian alphabet and basic Russian phonetics because so often it’s so difficult to non-native speakers
Then, using exercises and live communication jointly, we will expand your vocabulary and improve your grammar skills
And, if you want, I’ll share with you my knowledge of Russian literature, classical and modern, compared to another literatures or not
Your level of language proficiency doesn’t matter, from absolute beginner to C1/C2, but it may be more difficult to me if you want to learn some special vocabulary (such as medical, legal, etc.), just tell me then
