About Cheryl
Hello! My name is Cheryl, and I am a passionate educator with a Degree in Early Childhood Education and Minor in Special Education from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
I have 6 years of experience working with children aged 3 to 9 years old, supporting their learning and development in English, Mathematics, and Science. My teaching approach combines structured learning with hands-on, engaging activities that are tailored to each child's individual needs, interests, and learning pace.
I specialize in early literacy skills, including phonics, reading, spelling, speaking, and creative writing, as well as foundational mathematics concepts such as counting, number sense, comparison, money, and time. Drawing on my background in special education, I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels confident to learn and grow.
I believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged, encouraged to explore, and given opportunities to develop a love for learning. My goal is not only to help children achieve academic success but also to build their confidence, independence, and curiosity.
