I adapt a methodology that combines the useful with the pleasant to try to retain the most attention and maintain an effective concentration through the course that I give. I try not to be repetitive by using methods that are out of the ordinary pedagogical classic schools.
At the beginning, I evaluate through a conversation the shortcomings of a theoretical point while using examples closer to reality and especially that the students can easily assimilate with the knowledge of our days and to which they feel closer.
Then we go to the application in the form of exercises to feel more comfortable with the theory.
Most of the time I push the students to arrive methodically at the goal and on their own, in order to quickly identify the blockage and have a better retention of knowledge. Above all, don't hesitate to ask questions about any ambiguity, so we can move forward more quickly.
Between sessions, I often ask my students to solve a summary exercise for the next session and/or to prepare a new part of the theory.
All in a not too formal and relaxed atmosphere :)!
