About Jennifer
I am a Registered Nurse who completed my study as a mature student after many years of caregiving in community and rest homes. I then worked in elder care for five years. Next five years in Mental Health and Addiction with a community-based non-government organization. I then spent time with agencies working in many fields such as bowel catheter care and wound care. I have a strong interest in Infection Control and Prevention, having been a member of NZNO College of Infection and Prevention. I worked in the Isolation Hotels for two years and then on the COVID Response Line. I continue to work part-time with a nursing agency.

My style of teaching is Collaborative teaching. Working with students to find out what they already know. Finding what style of learning suits them and working in collaboration with them to achieve best results. Visual learning is often a preferred style when teaching and learning as a nurse. People-centered approach to both students and information being delivered.
