About Salomon

My name is Salomón Aguilar and my passion is wood, especially the versatility that nature gives us to capture our aesthetic tastes, in an infinity of textures, shapes and colors, oriented towards rusticity and the reunion with organic forms of life; So I graduated in design and conditioning of spaces and wood management, focusing my work on solving spatial problems, such as mobility, language and communication of spaces.

About the lesson

In today's world, we are more and more used to spending a long time at home than outside; Thanks to the infinity of gadgets that smart technology offers us, everything comes home with just one click. Our houses have once again become that sanctuary of the little things we love, the corners and atmospheres of those we love; For this reason, those of us who dedicate ourselves to beautify their places and inhabit them with furniture, we have become essential in the process of construction and adaptation of the real estate sector, since we not only inhabit houses and things, but also concepts, ideas and sensibilities. That is why the "Design your habitat" course is aware that the layout of the space, its design and the furniture that complement it, profoundly influence the dynamics of our daily life, in the atmosphere of the home, in our studies and social gatherings. My name is Salomón Aguilar and my passion is wood, especially the versatility that nature gives us to capture our aesthetic tastes, in an infinity of textures, shapes and colors, oriented towards rusticity and the reunion with the shapes of organic life; for which I graduated in design and conditioning of spaces and wood management, focusing my work on solving spatial problems, such as mobility, language and communication of spaces.

The contrast between organic materials - such as wood, stone, earth and plants-, and inorganic -such as metals, polyesters and polyurethanes-, it has been a concept that I have developed and for which I have deserved pleasant impressions in my experience as a designer-carpenter for six years in the furniture sector and real estate as a creator and manufacturer, so I have concentrated on delving into the fundamentals of design, color psychology, communication of spaces, and visual construction of spaces.

This trend may well be called a Scandinavian style minimalist and industrial, and it is the aesthetic concept that I usually derive from when I have the possibility of inventing; However, the first step for the realization of the product is to listen to the client, not simply about their expectations about the furniture, but also in an exhaustive analysis of their personality. Through the ways, gestures, musical tastes and way of dressing, we can reach milestones of desire, characteristics of their taste; for what I see myself many times in the gratifying gesture of seeing in the client the satisfaction of their need, and the good impression of putting my signature on the added value that I give to the piece, being unexpected details, or surprise spellings, that They are related to their tastes, and that of course, are far from my favorite forms in furniture design.

For this reason, I wanted to share with the world this way of relating to raw materials and with thousands of people who want to give a personal touch to their spaces, from their tastes and measurements; This course will allow you to understand how to facilitate links of choice and satisfaction in the triangular relationship between needs, materials and subjectivities; all aimed at unleashing the creativity of thousands of young people whose vocation is oriented towards artisan work and who still do not find a place in the strictly professional world. I come to tell you that our place is the design table and the workshop.
