About Maud
I have teaching experience both as an English instructor at a creative writing summer camp and as a teaching assistant in a special education classroom. I work full time as TA in a middle school STACK classroom. For those not familiar this is a specialized classroom which is designed specifically for students with autism, my class has six students. I have taught a range of students with varying needs and at different academic levels from 1st grade to 10th grade. I specialize mostly in English but am also proficient in math, science, and social studies. The classroom I work in is self-contained meaning that I work with my students on all of their academic subjects alongside the teacher. I often provide one-on-one instruction to my students who are all at varying levels of academic ability. I also work to support them emotionally and work on their behavioral issues.

I have experience both creating and leading lessons. The primary feedback I get from my students is that my lessons are unique and engaging. I make sure to provide my students with both visual and written instructions as well as ample examples for their work so that they can be the most successful. I work with a range of students who have varying needs and interests so I cater to each individual student's needs accordingly. Working with them to find what works best for them. My primary experience is with middle and high school students but I also have experience working with younger students.
