About RUCHIRA
I hold a PhD in Food Science and Technology, backed by over 10 years of experience in the food industry and more than 8 years in academia. This combination means I bring both deep theoretical knowledge and real-world, practical insight to my tutoring. My expertise spans Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Biochemistry, allowing me to support students confidently across school, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.
I believe good tutoring is about more than delivering information; it is about building genuine understanding and confidence. I take the time to identify where a student is struggling, explain concepts clearly and patiently, and adapt my approach to suit how each person learns. My students know they can ask questions freely and work at a pace that suits them.

I hold a PhD in Food Science and Technology and teach across school, university, and research levels. My approach is built on understanding rather than memorization: I break difficult concepts into clear steps, use plenty of worked examples and practice questions, and adapt each lesson to how the individual student learns best.
For HSC students, I teach Math, Chemistry, and Biology with a strong focus on exam technique, past-paper practice, and closing the gaps that cost marks. At the university level, I support undergraduate and postgraduate students in Food Technology, Food Chemistry, and Biochemistry, and I also guide researchers through their projects, from experimental design to data analysis and writing up.
Lessons typically run for one hour, though longer sessions can be arranged for exam preparation or research work. I welcome students of all levels, from HSC teenagers building confidence to postgraduates and researchers tackling advanced problems. Whatever your goal, lessons are patient, structured, and tailored to help you get there. Available online.
