About Mary Grace

Kumusta! I'm a 4th-year college student pursuing a Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education, majoring in Electronics Technology. While my degree is technical, my training is rooted in education, I've studied lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching strategies that I now apply to every Tagalog lesson I give.
As a native Filipino, I don't just speak Tagalog, I live it. I can guarantee authentic, everyday language that textbooks simply can't offer. But fluency alone isn't enough to be a great tutor. That's why I bring patience, structure, and professionalism to every class.

About the lesson

My Teaching Method and Techniques

I teach Tagalog the way it's actually spoken, naturally and conversationally. My method combines immersion and structured practice. I encourage students to speak from day one, even imperfectly, because confidence grows through use. I use conversational practice, chunking (breaking phrases into small parts), context-based learning, and cultural integration, so you understand not just the words, but the meaning behind them. I also correct mistakes gently and immediately, so bad habits don't form.

Real Conversation : You apply everything in a guided role-play

I'm a future professional teacher. My degree has equipped me with real teaching strategies and the ability to handle different learning styles. I bring energy and warmth to every class, so students feel like they're talking to a friend, not sitting in a lecture. As a native Filipino, I also teach the slang and expressions textbooks often miss.
