About Anna

I am a graduate of a Grammar School where I completed the International Baccalaureate, specialising in Higher Level Biology and Chemistry as well as Economics. I am currently an incoming Biomedical Science undergraduate, meaning my scientific knowledge is current and at a high academic level. I have a proven track record of academic success, including Grade 9s/As at GCSEs before going on to complete the IB Diploma in my sixth form. My experience at my Grammar school has equipped me with study habits that I am eager to pass on to my students.

About the lesson

Techniques and Methodology
My teaching is centred around active recall and bridging the gap between theory and exam performance. Having recently completed the rigorous IB programme, I understand that many students struggle not with the content itself, but with how to apply it to complex exam questions. I break down difficult biological processes and chemical reactions into "digestible blocks." We will focus heavily on bridging the gaps of knowledge to ensure you have all the content needed - in a way that is tailored to your individual learning structure.

Typical Lesson Length
I typically recommend 60-minute sessions. This allows enough time to review a specific topic in depth, practise several exam questions, and address any "pain points" from the student's school week without causing cognitive fatigue. For older students or those approaching mocks, 90-minute intensive sessions are also available.
