Everyone is an artist in their own way! As an artist it’s hard to express myself at times and through my art I feel free and unstoppable. I want to give my student/s this feeling.
My class has to have a cool vibe, I want everyone to be comfortable, chilled and FUN! I’d personally have everyone do a simple choreographed physical movement.
Although education is serious we also have to make sure we’re having a good time. Engaging students with activities helps them to think more critically about the content they are learning.
Everyone loves a teacher with an infectious sense of humor. I like to think I’m funny, so using that to my advantage to especially create good relationships with my students.
Another benefit is that teamwork teaches interpersonal skills. When it comes to presentations these skills come in handy, everyone knows everyone so it’s easier to stands in front of the class and what needs to be done.
