About Evi

I studied Greek Philology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Crete and I am currently in the 2nd year of my Master's degree at the University of Nicosia in teaching Greek as a second language. I am also participating in a seminar at the University of the Aegean which is related to intercultural education. I speak English and Italian. For the last three years I am involved in teaching Greek as a foreign language to non-native speakers of Greek and it is a field that I like and am very interested in. I am a very sociable, talkative and communicative person and I enjoy teaching other nationality people.

About the lesson

All students are welcome in my class, regardless of nationality, color, gender or gender group, age or level of learning. Knowledge is for all people of this world. My teaching method is adapted according to the needs of each student. I use small talk, music, funny and interesting culture info and every day’s life events so knowledge comes quickly and pleasantly. There are no "stupid questions". I will explain everything to you again and again, as many times needed. We will create together an environment of trust, where you will feel comfortable. Through role games, real everyday dialogues (for example going to a restaurant, to the airport, booking reservation, speaking with friends or customers for business) we will achieve our goals.

In my lesson you will learn how to write, read and speak Greek, for any occasion and level. Pronunciation and speaking, including local expressions, listening and understanding the others while they speak, grammar, vocabulary, syntax, reading and writing.
We can focus to a specific field more than the others, have homework or not, as my lesson is individually based on each student's necessities.

Learning a new foreign language is a real challenge. It isn't always easy. But I promise that we are together in this, I will make the hard ones as easy as possible in an entertaining way!
