About Tessa
I am a guitar tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Guitar Performance Studies. My musical journey began with a strong interest in rhythm-based instruments and modern music styles, which led me to formal training in guitar performance and technique.
I have worked with beginners and intermediate learners, helping them build confidence step by step. My focus is always on making guitar learning simple, structured, and enjoyable. I adapt my teaching based on each student’s pace and goals.
Outside teaching, I enjoy acoustic sessions, songwriting, and exploring different guitar styles. This keeps my teaching fresh and practical. My goal is to help students become confident and expressive guitar players.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students develop strong rhythm control, clean finger movement, and clear musical understanding in a simple step-by-step way. I teach chords, strumming patterns, picking techniques, scales, and basic music theory in a structured format so learners can progress without confusion. Each concept is explained slowly and clearly so students can build confidence while learning.
I include regular practice routines such as chord transitions, rhythm drills, and simple song practice. Students are encouraged to repeat exercises because repetition builds strength, timing, and accuracy. I also guide them gently when mistakes happen so they stay motivated and comfortable throughout the learning process. Every lesson is adjusted according to individual progress.
As students improve, I introduce improvisation, fingerstyle basics, and expressive playing techniques. I help them understand how music can be shaped creatively through tone and rhythm. Over time, students become more confident in playing songs, performing, and expressing their own musical ideas naturally.
