About Meredith

Hey there! I’m Meredith, and I’ve been playing guitar 10 years—but more importantly, I’m passionate about helping you or your child discover the joy of music! Whether you're a total beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, I create lessons that are engaging, personalized, and stress-free.

I know learning an instrument can feel intimidating, but my goal is to make it exciting and approachable. I love finding new ways to make learning fun, whether through games, challenges, or songs you actually want to play.

When I am not teaching lessons I am writing and producing my own music as an independent singer/songwriter. I often carry skills over into lessons and can teach students about how the music functions, not just how to play it. I also have helped students learn to explore their creativity and try writing their own pieces. I currently have students of all ages that are learning to write music to further their guitar playing, with my youngest student learning composition at just 10 years old!

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are designed for students of all ages and skill levels, whether you're just starting out or picking up where you left off. I focus not only on playing the guitar but also on basic music theory—giving you a strong foundation that can be applied to any future instrument you might want to learn! Whether you are wanting to learn acoustic or electric (or both!), I have the right tools, resources, and knowledge to help you succeed.

Every student has different goals, and I tailor my lessons to help you achieve them. Whether you dream of playing your favorite songs, improving your technique, or simply gaining confidence while playing, I make sure you’re learning music you enjoy while building essential skills along the way.

Since I also am a skilled songwriter, producer, and composer, I also love teaching students how to write music if that is something they are interested in! Learning to write music is a fantastic way to encourage creativity and teach skills that can be applied to your own playing. Many of my students love getting the chance to explore the world of songwriting as a form of creativity and self-expression.

Most importantly, my lessons are fun, engaging, and designed to make you feel comfortable and confident as you learn.
