About Keigan

I've been playing acoustic and electric guitars since 2008. I was self-taught from the start and then went to get my music degree later on. I believe music lessons should be light and fun, and should be accessible to everyone. With my experience, I also then have worked for 5 years in a major record label, marketing and working with both local and international artists. I mainly love John Mayer, guitar driven music. I've dabbled in many other genres as well except for heavier metal stuff. Currently, I find myself playing with my acoustic guitar more.

About the lesson

Many people get intimidated when it comes to learning a new instrument, but I always tell people that age is just a number, and all you need really to learn ANY instrument is just patience.

I'm happy to share my knowledge for those curious or starting out with a guitar (electric or acoustic), or even those that just need guidance on playing songs. My lessons typically consist of practice, casual chats, and understanding what my students would like to learn or achieve. With me, you don't only get guitar lessons. If you wish, I can also teach you songwriting, recording, mixing, producing if you have an interest in writing your own songs, recording your own music at home and putting them on your social media!

Super patient with students and very knowledgeable. I took lessons with him a year ago with 0 drumming experience. He taught me through it based on a pace that was comfortable for me but provided challenges when I requested. Classes are usually laidback but if you would like to progress quickly, home practice is essential. He also prepares "homework" to practice just so I always have something to practice and look forward to!

Although my coordination is very bad, he is super patient in guiding through the basics while providing a few challenges that kept me motivated to keep practicing. Classes are fun as well with a mix of technical practice and music play along. I also learnt how to read notes and also use my ears to listen which is very interesting! Recommended!
