About Ava
With 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition (Guitar), I bring both knowledge and passion to lessons. I perform and compose regularly, keeping students connected to real music-making. Music is a creative, lifelong pursuit.
I focus on acoustic fingerstyle and classical guitar, teaching beginners and advanced students. Lessons emphasize technical skill, phrasing, and expressive nuance. Students develop both artistry and precision.
Creativity and personal expression are central to my approach. I integrate theory, composition, and performance into accessible lessons. Patience and curiosity are always encouraged.
Watching students grow in confidence and musicality is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to foster technical skill, expression, and a lifelong love of guitar.

I teach guitar with an emphasis on creativity and versatility. Lessons are practical, interactive, and adaptable. Students learn to navigate multiple musical styles.
We explore funk, metal, jazz, country, and more. Students learn to adapt phrasing, rhythm, and technique to each style.
Improvisation and experimentation are core to learning. Students practice blending genres and creating original ideas.
I work with teenage learners exploring identity and recording artists expanding their sound. Feedback is actionable and supportive.
Students leave with confidence, skill, and musical freedom. Guitar becomes a tool for expression and exploration.
