About Wendy
I’m a dedicated guitar tutor with 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in World Music, specialising in Guitar Traditions. My academic training gave me a wide perspective on music from different cultures, while my practical journey has taken me deep into metal, shred, and progressive rock. I understand how important it is to blend solid technique with creative expression. That’s why I focus on helping students master blistering speed, flawless precision, and advanced shred techniques. Whether it’s alternate picking, sweep arpeggios, or tapping, I break everything down into manageable steps. I enjoy working with both young learners and adult students. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, combining technical drills with songs that inspire. I encourage consistency in practice but also foster exploration of personal style. My approach balances discipline with enthusiasm so students stay motivated. I use exercises that target accuracy while building endurance and control. Together, we work towards not only faster playing but also cleaner, more musical performance. My background in world music also allows me to bring unique rhythmic and melodic ideas into lessons.
