About Delilah
I am a guitar teacher with 11 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Guitar Emphasis. My passion lies in guiding students to discover their own voice through songwriting and composition. I focus on helping musicians create original music and develop a personal style that truly represents them.
Through lessons, I teach techniques for melody, harmony, and lyric writing, showing students how to bring their ideas to life. I also guide them in recording their own tracks, from arranging to capturing professional-sounding demos. My experience includes mentoring aspiring singer-songwriters and independent musicians, helping them grow both creatively and technically.
I believe every student has unique musical ideas waiting to be expressed. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether composing for performance, recording, or personal enjoyment. I encourage experimentation, exploration, and building confidence in your music. Together, we focus on turning imagination into fully realised songs. My mission is to make the creative process accessible and inspiring for every musician.

My teaching approach is designed to help every student grow their skills and passion for guitar. I focus on building a strong foundation in classical guitar techniques and fingerpicking styles. Reading music on the staff is an important part of my lessons, helping students understand music theory and apply it while playing. I also teach hybrid picking techniques to add versatility and precision to your playing. Tonal control is emphasised so students can express emotions through every note they play.
I guide students through structured practice while keeping lessons fun and engaging. Whether you aim to perform, record, or simply enjoy playing, I help you reach your goals. I encourage creativity and personal expression, supporting students who want to develop a bold and unique style. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level from beginner to advanced. We explore different genres and techniques, making learning dynamic and inspiring. My focus is not just on playing but on helping students excel confidently and enjoy every step of their guitar journey.
