About Steven
I've been a guitarist and songwriter for 17 years. I've played hundreds of shows, released multiple albums, and was a Top 10 Finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition.
Having studied under one of the best Jazz guitarists in the world, I've acquired an extensive knowledge of music theory, language, and the instrument itself. I primarily enjoy writing and performing solo jazz chord melody pieces.
Throughout my life music has brought beauty, joy, and fulfillment, and my goal is to spread this to others through my music and teaching others.

I'm open to teaching all ages and playing levels - whether you're just getting started, trying to develop an understanding of advanced chordal theory, or anything in-between.
I don't follow a strict "copy and paste" regimen that I use for every student - instead, my lessons our personalized to help you achieve your goals. We'll see where you're at, where you want to be, and I'll help you get there.

Lessons with Steven have been excellent! I've learned a ton and am thrilled with how far I've come. He's very friendly and patient too. Couldn't ask for a better teacher.
Steven has been an amazing teacher, he's very patient with me (which takes a lot of effort!) and has really helped me not just play better, but actually understand what I'm playing, which has been huge in my improvement as a guitar player. I highly recommend getting lessons with him!
