About Gabrielle
I'm a recent GVSU graduate, with a Bachelor of Science in Global Studies and Social Impact, and a minor in human rights. I enjoy anything to do with history, global movement, and humanity, so being able to help students in those areas would be incredibly rewarding. As an individual, I am easygoing and personable. My main goal with tutoring is to make education less daunting and more relatable for students. I understand how difficult or overwhelming school can feel. I hope that through my time as a tutor I can pass down the skills that I learned which made me a much more confident student. Skills like time management, breaking down projects into manageable pieces, and self-analysis are just some of the lessons that I’m able to offer. I believe it is important for students to learn that even in their own education, they are not alone. There is always help to be received.

In any subject, I want to make sure students not only succeed in their class work, but also learn lifelong skills that support their growth afterwards. In terms of coursework, I can help in anything from after school homework assistance, to bigger projects like research or essay preparation. During those lessons, we would be making sure to not only understand how to complete the work, but how to use these new skills in daily life. With me, students would learn how to think of research topics on their own, how to accumulate said research, or even how to communicate better through writing for daily application.
