About Michelle

I started tutoring from a very young age (17 years old). I teach English and Spanish. I've worked as a language teacher for about 13 years. When I was 21 years old, I started working at Berlitz Language Centers, where I got a professional training course diploma. Since then, I've been tutoring a wide range of students from all around the world (Germany, Japan, Latin America, Africa, etc) ages 4 - 60 years old. Work experience: LCI Centro de Idiomas, Puerto Vallarta - English teacher, Kids Club Coordinator. - (2009-2012) Colegio IDEO, Guadalajara, México - English and Spanish tutor - (2012-2014) Berlitz, Language Center, Guadalajara - English and Spanish instructor - (2012-2016) In 2015 I started teaching online, one to one and group students. It's been very effective and fun!

About the lesson

We will have a conversational goal to achieve every class. For example: Making a hotel reservation in Spanish / Calling to get information about a service, etc... Your program will be personalized to fit your needs. We use a variety of activities, textbooks and drills. There's also a short amount of time in which we review everything we've learned, and have a spontaneous conversation so that fluency becomes second nature.

Perfect! We were looking for a tutor for my 8-year old daughter who is in a Spanish immersion class. She was struggling with learning new math concepts in a language she hadn’t mastered yet. Michelle tutored her in math in both Spanish and English. She spoke perfect Spanish and English and went back and forth between the two as it was needed. Michelle was fun and engaging, and she was very patient and encouraging with my daughter. I highly recommend her for people of any age.

Perfect! Michelle is a fantastic 1 on 1 tutor. She is not only well qualified to teach the Spanish language efficiently, but she also possesses a feel for real world application by teaching the dialog (y los frases) in a way to help accelerate the student's application of the language. I admire her patience (with me!) and her ability to teach to her student's strengths by helping to build confidence while also allowing the student to grow through self development with her tailored homework assignments.
