About Ruby
Hello! I'm a friendly and committed tutor with a genuine love for learning and meeting new people, and I bring that passion into every lesson I teach. I believe that when students feel confident and supported, their willingness to engage and succeed at school grows significantly. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing, and I’m deeply passionate about language, literature, and helping students express themselves clearly and confidently. Outside of my studies, I love to read and write—it’s a joy I hope to pass on to my students, whether they’re just starting to explore reading or tackling more complex writing tasks.

My tutoring style is student-focused and flexible—I believe that every learner is unique, and my role is to adapt to their individual needs, learning styles, and goals. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and build their confidence over time.
I use a mix of practical exercises, clear explanations, real-life examples, and engaging discussions to deepen understanding and build lasting skills. For those in VCE, I focus on critical thinking, structured study techniques, and exam preparation strategies.
Lessons typically run for 50 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s age, attention span, and subject needs. I collaborate with both students and parents to find the right session length and learning pace.
I have experience facilitating educational workshops in schools for students aged 10 to 18, and I bring strong communication skills and empathy to every session. My work in diverse classrooms has equipped me with tools to build rapport quickly and tailor my teaching accordingly.
My tutoring is available for primary and secondary students (K–10) and select VCE subjects. Whether your child needs help catching up, extending themselves, or just building study habits and confidence, I’d love to support them on their learning journey.
