About Ronin

I’m Ronin (Ronan). I’m a software engineer with 20+ years of experience building real products, including time at Meta and team leadership at Yellow Pages. Today, I’ve chosen to step away from large corporate environments to focus on my own projects and research. I’m interested in building new ideas by bridging domains that are usually kept separate: software, data, AI tools, design, hardware prototyping, and practical systems. That shift matters in how I teach. I’m not here to help you collect “skills on a card.” I help you learn with purpose: to build something meaningful, to understand what you’re doing, and to develop the confidence to keep going independently.

About the lesson

My teaching method and techniques:

I teach through real projects and real questions. I believe skills stick when they are tied to a reason: building something you care about, understanding something that bothers you, or unblocking something concrete.
We use AI tools as support, not as a substitute. I’ll show you how to ask better questions, verify outputs, debug effectively, and keep your code understandable.

A typical lesson plan
- Quick check-in: goal for the session, what’s currently blocked
- Build time: we implement or debug together on your project
- Concept extraction: we pause to learn the exact idea needed (and only that)
- Clean-up: make it readable, testable, and easy to continue
- Next steps: a small plan you can execute between sessions (optional)
