About Lydia

I’m from Italy and I lived in England for almost 12 years. When I came, I did not know the language at all. It was a big impact on my life. It was hard to find a job, I could not have any social life, I felt so lonely, almost deciding to quit and go back home. I started going to the language exchange and slowly, month by month, my English was improving and I met new people. I started watching movies with English subtitles until the day I finally started understanding English. I was so proud of myself, so guys, nothing is impossible in life. Learning another language not only makes you proud, it opens your mind, the way you think, and also you always would like to learn more. My boys can speak Italian and understand Italian; the youngest is two years old and my oldest is 7 years old. My family do not speak any English when we go to Italy on vacation; it’s so lovely they can spend some quality time with the grandparents.

About the lesson

Hello students, My name is Lydia and I’m from Italy. I think learning a new language can be challenging. Some students are so enthusiastic at the beginning of the lesson and slowly lose interest. Let’s have some fun in what we study, make some memories so we can remember the lesson we had. We can choose one of your favourite books, arts, sports, and music. Why do you like learning Italian for work, hobbies, general knowledge? Also, your memory will play a big role. We will discover during my lessons Italian is not just a language, it’s a way to be… I will do the best I can until you have finally achieved your goal.
