About Christian
I have a strong background in mathematics, science, and engineering, with a degree and professional experience in biomedical engineering. My engineering career has given me extensive experience applying mathematics and problem-solving to real-world technical challenges. I enjoy breaking down complicated problems into smaller, understandable steps and helping others develop the same analytical skills. I believe that anyone can become better at math with the right explanation, practice, and support.

My goal as a tutor is not simply to help students find the right answer, but to help them understand why the answer is correct. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps and adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs. I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice, and problem-solving to build both understanding and confidence. Rather than solving problems for students, I guide them through the process so they can eventually solve similar problems independently.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and any questions the student may have, followed by focused instruction and guided practice on the areas they find challenging. I finish each session by reviewing key concepts and identifying areas for continued practice. What sets me apart is my focus on understanding rather than memorization, creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions and learn from mistakes. I tutor middle school, high school, and college students in subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics, as well as homework and test preparation.
