My teaching method is first I will teach the basic bols of tabla and also before that I will tell the position of hand how to keep hands on tabla then start with telling the basic bols and then gradually I will tell the advance level that how to create those bols or where to play them some theory also be given to my students like when you will have to play the peshkar , kayda , tukda of which gharana you have to play kaydas that time... Uthaan.. Peshkar.. While giving basic knowledge about playing the tabla I will give some theoretical knowledge also and I conduct the Nagma sessions also so that student get to know how to play classical tabla with nagma as without nagma a person can't represent classical tabla.
