I have a First class Bsc (Hons) in Chemistry and a PGCE in Science.
I have teaching A Level Chemistry experience in a College for 8 years and tutoring experience for 10 years.I was the Curriculum Leader for the Chemistry department in the last 2 years of my teaching.
I use notes which are prepared by myself and worksheets which uses questions from past examination papers.The notes which I had prepared were used by all the Chemistry students on the A Level course.
I have consequently achieved outstanding results during my teaching and outstanding ALPS grades.In last year of my teaching on average 69% (total no.of students were 47) of my A2 students received A-B grades and 70% (total no.of students were 43) of my AS students received A-B grades.ALPS grade 2 in both AS and A2.
When tutoring I alter my notes and the type of teaching depending on the learning method of an individual (concealed information) first tution session usually involves finding out the preferred learning style of a student and finding out areas of work in which help is required. I then alter or prepare new notes for the individual student to meet their needs.I also recap work with students on a regular basis through more past examination questions to ensure previous work which was covered is not forgotten.
I am known to be enthusiastic, organised, hardworking, reliable, trustworthy and very passionate about my subject.
