About Ariba

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Delhi. I have eight years of teaching experience at the University of Delhi—seven at the undergraduate level as a full-time Assistant Professor and one at the postgraduate level. I have served as convener of syllabus design committees and chaired the board of paper setters for several Philosophy courses offered at the university. I am also a member of the Institute of Actuaries of India, with a strong foundation in Mathematics and a passion for teaching it. At the undergraduate and postgraduate level I teach all Philosophy papers, with particular interest in Logic, Philosophy of Mind, Western Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, Cognitive Science, Modal and Symbolic Logic, Analytic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, and Ethics. I also teach Mathematics at the high school and intermediate levels with clarity and with the same intellectual commitment I bring to Philosophy.

About the lesson

As a Philosophy teacher, my role is to unpack dense and complex philosophical arguments, helping students understand how key positions in various domains have evolved and been debated. My classes—and often assessments—are dialogical, requiring students to actively engage, critically examine arguments, and confront their own cognitive biases. The aim is to foster analytical rigor and a healthy skepticism towards all positions, including their own. As a Math teacher, I try to make Math come alive with real-world problems, visual models and fun discussions that bring conceptual clarity to the student. I also recognize the diversity in students' backgrounds, motivations, and learning styles, and adapt my content delivery to ensure it is accessible and engaging for all.
