About Andrew
I am a dedicated and experienced Computing Lecturer with a strong passion for helping students succeed in IT and Computer Science. I teach learners aged 14–25, including GCSE, A-Level, BTEC, and foundation-level students.
My academic background, IT industry and classroom experience have equipped me with the skills to simplify complex technical concepts and deliver them in a clear, structured, and engaging way.
I specialise in areas such as Technology Systems, Databases, Cybersecurity, Web Development, Project Management, Enterprise in IT, IT Service Delivery, Technical Support, IoT, and Maths for Computing. Beyond teaching content, I focus on developing logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and academic confidence.
I chose to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and capability. Technology is shaping the future, and I believe every student deserves the skills and support to thrive in it.
My lessons are professional, well-prepared, engaging, real-world based and tailored to each learner’s goals, ensuring measurable progress and long-term success.

My tutoring approach is structured, practical, and student-centred. I believe Computing is best learned through understanding and application rather than memorisation. I begin with a short assessment to identify strengths, gaps, and goals, then tailor lessons to build strong foundations while increasing challenge and independence.
My teaching method follows a clear structure: explain the concept, demonstrate with examples, practise together, and apply independently. I teach units including Technology Systems, Databases, Cybersecurity, Project Management, Maths for Computing, Technical Support, IT Service Delivery, Enterprise in IT, Web Development, and Internet of Things (IoT). For programming and technical units, I emphasise logical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application, alongside exam technique where required.
Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and include guided practice and structured tasks.
I am an experienced Computing Lecturer teaching students aged 14–25 (GCSE, A-Level, BTEC, and foundation level), focused on building confidence, academic success, and long-term technical competence.
