About Frances
"Genetics, immunology, and homeostasis are subjects that feel as real as the scent of formaldehyde in an old lab. I lean into those specific areas using the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science I earned at the University of Sydney.
After 13 years teaching ATAR biology, I have developed a rigid system that prioritizes deep conceptual understanding over memorization. My approach works well for diverse groups ranging from high schoolers to adult learners returning to the sciences.
I find that most students struggle because they skip the foundational work required to grasp complex ecosystems or plant biology. Once we establish that base, we move into rigorous exam technique and biological drawing.
I regularly help pre-med and A-level students navigate the fine details of mitosis and the circulatory system. My method is built on 13 years of repetition and refinement in the classroom.
