About Graham

I am Graham, obviously a male who has always been awed and fascinated by paintings and painters from the classics to modern portraiture. Although my primary vocation has been telecommunications, for the last 18 years I have pursued on just about a weekly basis experimenting with sketching and painting in oils.

About the lesson

I love the challenge of exploring and attempting to capture the individuality, charisma and power of peoples faces.
After more than 15 years of viewing, considering and trialling the practices that have worked for me I believe I can impart the techniques necessary to not only gain the results you require but far more importantly to kindle your passion for painting and colour and portraiture.

Perfect! Grahame came in and helped me transform a flat dull portrait attempt into a vibrant likeness. He did this through patient, encouraging collaborative instruction which filled me with confidence and exhilaration. Thoroughly recommend him!

Graham's response
This being my first tutor/student interaction Tash would have to be every beginner’s dream student . Enthusiastic and obviously serious about getting a result from the get-go. A total pleasure to converse with telephonically and in person. The added benefit being she’s already well on her way becoming a serious painter and still V open to suggestions to try different things. Maizin .
