About Rachel
I have a BA in Music and Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I have achieved my diploma in piano and Grade 8 in vocals, clarinet and music theory.
I love what I do and enjoy imparting my passion for music in a way that is relatable. My teaching style is patient, goal-focused and flexible depending upon the student's needs, whether this is taking graded exams or simply becoming a better pianist. I want lessons to be fun and inspiring but expect students to be committed and practise hard to make the most out of their time with me.

My philosophy is to foster a love of music.
As a classroom music teacher, I am able to engage well with students, understand the needs of a diverse range of people and fully appreciate the demands of the GCSE and A Level specifications.
I have 8 years' experience of tutoring piano and theory to a range of beginner, intermediate and advanced students and children/adults alike. My students have achieved a 100% pass rate in their instrument exams (I have catered to ABRSM, Trinity and LCM). My results as a teacher are also above the national average, with 75% of students achieving a Grade 9-7.
