About Dhruv
Hi, I’m Dhruv, a friendly and patient tutor with a strong background in math and science, and over four years of experience working with students aged 13–16. I’m currently studying Health Informatics at Swansea University, after completing a degree in Biomedical Sciences. I’ve supported students with a range of learning styles and needs. My sessions are structured but flexible, designed to help students build confidence, understand key concepts clearly, and stay motivated. What sets me apart is my calm, student-focused approach. I focus on building trust and creating a calm, structured learning environment—especially important for students with anxiety or special educational needs. I keep sessions consistent and low-pressure, breaking tasks into manageable steps and giving students time to process and respond. My goal is to boost both understanding and confidence. My teaching style is patient, adaptive, and clear. I use interactive explanations, visual aids, and real-life examples to make concepts easier to grasp. I encourage questions and adjust my explanations based on how the student learns best. Lesson Plan >Start with a check-in and short recap to ease into the session and revisit previous learning. >Core content explained interactively, using visuals or examples tailored to the student. >Guided practice, where we solve problems together. Independent work, where the student applies what they’ve learned. >Finish with a summary and small task to reinforce the topic and prepare for next time. I combine educational experience with real-world leadership, which makes me calm, clear, and approachable, especially in high-pressure situations. I’ve supported a range of learners and I know how to create a space where they feel comfortable and motivated. I tutor students in middle and high school, focusing on math and science. My sessions are suited for those preparing for exams, needing catch-up support, or just wanting to feel more confident in their studies.
