About Mari
I am currently studying BHSc Physiology and Biochemistry at NWU and started peer tutoring Afrikaans and English in Gr 9, and Life Sciences in Gr 11. I completed matric with seven distinctions and have since received multiple distinctions at university level as well. These achievements were possible thanks to a positive work ethic instilled by past tutors - something I'd like to pass along.
I adapt easily and that is carried over into my tutoring as I'm also able to provide general structure, accountability and motivation to students with learning difficulties such as ADHD.

My aim is to equip the student with study skills specific to their situation as this will allow them to achieve success on their own. We'll start by building a solid foundation of the current work (lessons, homework help, test preparation) and then move on to fine tune their preferred method of study (through learning strategies like flashcards, mnemonics or mind maps).
